Expectations

Physical Education Expectations

In order to make this year of Physical Education a great one, we all need to work as a team to do our best.  With that said, the following is a list of expectations for Physical Education.

Be prepared!  Students MUST wear blue and yellow attire and sneakers to participate in Physical Education.  Remember gym clothes and school clothes CANNOT be the same.  Failure to meet these expectations will result in a loss of points.

Put forth your best Effort! We are going to be exploring new activities including team sports, cooperative activities and fitness.  I will never ask you to be a professional athlete, but I will ALWAYS ask you to try your best.

Be Respectful and a Good Sport. In PE we are all on the same team.  We want to have fun, exercise, be good sports and learn new and exciting information.  With that, we all need to be respectful of one another, the gym and the equipment.

Follow the directions.  In order to have the best Physical Education experience following the directions is extremely important.  Please make sure you are doing your very best at following the directions for safety, the activities and through out class.

What happens if you do not follow these expectations?

The PE Expectations are important because it allows everyone in the class to feel safe and have an excellent time.  However, if the expectations are not followed actions will be taken to keep PE safe and fun for all.

1st Incident - Verbal Warning
2nd Incident - Timed Removal from Activity
3rd Incident - Removal from Activity and "On the Sidelines in PE" Worksheet
4th Incident - Complete Removal from Activity and Phone Call home

Severe disruptions will be completely removed from the activity and sent to Administration.
