Hi! My name is Ms. Lizotte and this is my sixth year working at the Woodcliff Lake schools as the district behaviorist. I have been working in the field of education for 16 years. I graduated from Dominican College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and I completed my masters degree at Long Island University, receiving a Masters of Science in Elementary and Special Education. In 2014, I received my BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) certification and began working as a behavior analyst. I started my career working at Institute of Educational Achievement in 2004, working as an instructor for individuals with Autism. I was trained in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and worked there for four years, working with children ages five to eleven. After IEA, I worked at REED Academy, furthering my experience working in the field of ABA, this time working with students ages 11-17 as a trainer of ABA/classroom consultant. After more than four years there, I made the transition to the public school. I worked in Leonia as the elementary ABA teacher for grades K-4. In addition to my school based positions, I worked as a BCBA home coordinator as well as a parent trainer in the home setting through Region II (Pascack Valley), Region III (Northern Valley) and several private agencies.
In Woodcliff Lake, I work closely with the child study team to support the students. I work in both Dorchester and Woodcliff Middle School and visit classrooms in every grade, including preschool. In addition to my duties as the behaviorist, I assist in programming and instruction in our LLD classrooms working closely with the teachers and staff, and also teach a section of Life Skills at Woodcliff Middle School.
I have two beautiful daughters at home, Lennon and Raylen. We love to play outside and take walks around town. I couldn't be happier to be working at Woodcliff Lake Schools and I look forward to another wonderful year. If you, at any time, have a question, please don't hesitate to call or email!
