My name is Mrs. Albers and I am thrilled to be teaching at Dorchester this year! I am from Bergenfield, New Jersey. I currently live in Bloomingdale with my husband, Patrick. This is my second year teaching at Dorchester School. Before arriving at Dorchester, I taught for five years at a private school in Montclair. In Montclair, I taught grades K-2. I am very excited to have joined the Dorchester family! I am looking forward to new adventures and a great school year.
I attended Montclair State University, where I received my degree in Family and Child Studies. In addition, I completed a concentration in education and certification in Child Advocacy and Policy. After graduating from Montclair State, I went on to complete my Orton-Gillingham certification through the Fairleigh Dickinson Program's Masonic Centers. Once I completed my Orton-Gillingham certification, I decided to go back to school again to become certified in Special Education.
I am looking forward to an awesome year in second grade!
