Picture of SuperintendentWelcome to our website. We are very pleased that you have found your way to us and encourage you to use this site to learn about our schools, their programs and the many initiatives we are engaged in. The Woodcliff Lake schools and community represent some of the finest opportunities available for living and learning; naturally, we are proud of what has been accomplished here since 1895, the date of our beginning.

The schools have a history of excellence and attract residents who value experiences for their children that provide lifetime opportunities to add value to society and enrich the lives of the participants.

This website has become the center for communication in the district. Parents and friends are able to log in daily and learn about everything from the homework assignments to the date for field day. Each faculty member has an individual website, imbedded in the building’s site, allowing teachers, students, parents, and others to communicate and participate in the learning process. Be sure to look these sites over carefully, as we have some incredible activity taking place and it is presented in very unique and creative ways.

Our site is being used to replace the paper that usually underpins the modern school. We have chosen to “go green,” as much for our environmental responsibility, as for the convenience this allows. Our Thursday folders of the past have been replaced with TIPS (Thursday Information for Parents and Students). This weekly newspaper will provide timely information and announcements from the district, the PFA and the WCLEF directly to your device of choice. As viewers, you can read and utilize the "hyperlinks" to gather additional information and/or forms. The monthly calendar is updated often and should be accessed often.

Finally, each year brings changes and challenges.  The economic issues in our state and nation have clearly impacted our district, yet we continue to be able to offer a top-level program.  We will continue utilizing i-pads in the 8th grade and hope to expand that program soon.  There are innovative scheduling changes at the elementary school that our students will embrace.  The faculty is enthusiastic and ready to begin a year of learning and discovery.

We are anticipating our very best year ahead and encourage you to check back to our website often to keep track of our progress and to offer advice and suggestions as we make our way forward.

Thank you again for your interest in the Woodcliff Lake School System.
