Hello, thank you for visiting my web site. This year I am excited to be back teaching 5th grade! I have a 5th grade pull-out math class and math collaborative class, and math support classes for other grades.
I have been teaching special education at Dorchester Elementary going on 21 years and love working with your children. Previously to Dorchester, I taught 4th and 5th grade general education classes. I hold a Master's degree in Education from Emory University, as well as a degree from William Paterson University in Special Education. I am also certified in Wilson Reading.
I have enjoyed the "newer" fifth grade teaching model where the students have the opportunity to experience a different teacher for each content area, and interact with a variety of peers throughout the day. This model will help prepare them for the transition to middle school next year.
I have four children of my own; one daughter and 3 sons and now eight grandchildren, They all keep me very busy!! My favorite time of the year is summer, enjoying the warm sunny weather, reading, going to the beach, visiting friends, or finding new places of interest.
