Meet Ms. DiRico:

Hello, and welcome to first grade!

My name is Giana DiRico, and I will be your child’s teacher while Mrs. Mulholland is on her maternity leave. I am so excited to join the Dorchester family and have the opportunity to teach your child this school year! Teaching has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember - from playing “school” with my younger siblings to graduating with my Master’s degree from Marist College this past year. I completed my student teaching in third and fourth grade classrooms in New York. In addition, I was a substitute teacher this past school year. I truly loved that experience because I was able to witness how kids learn and grow across all grade levels!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading new books and exploring new places. I love participating in outdoor activities throughout the year, such as hiking and snowboarding. I also have been rock climbing for the past 7 years!

I am really looking forward to a fun and exciting new school year with all of you!

Meet Mrs. Mulholland:

Hi everyone,

My name is Tiffany Mulholland, and I am so excited to be a first grade teacher in Woodcliff Lake. I graduated from Ramapo College with a major in Communication Arts, and a minor in Psychology. I was extremely fortunate to do my student teaching in a 3rd grade class in Woodcliff Lake. After student teaching, I became a kindergarten teacher here. The following year, I moved to first grade and I have been at Dorchester School ever since. I love first grade because of all the exploring, learning, and fun we get to have!

I was married in June and my husband is wonderful. We enjoy taking long walks on the beach and looking for sea glass. I also like to surf. I still play volleyball on the weekends. Oh, and I LOVE the New York Yankees and purple orchids!

I can’t wait to spend this school year teaching, learning, and growing with my first graders!
