Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Brooke McGovern and I am so excited to be teaching third grade! This is my third year at Dorchester and I am so lucky to be apart of the Woodcliff Lake family. My goal as a teacher is to create an environment where my students feel comfortable and confident in the classroom. I believe that these two factors will set students up for success and I am here to support them every step of the way! I invite open communication with my students and want them to know that our classroom is a safe place where we support one another and choose kindness. 

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 6 years old, and I can't imagine doing anything else! I graduated from Penn State University where I received my degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In my free time, I love to go for walks with my dog, watch sports, and cook! 

I look forward to getting to know and working with your child this year. 3rd grade is a year of new and challenging opportunities that we will tackle together as a family. It is going to be a great year!
