My name is Mrs. Albers. I am from Bergenfield, New Jersey. I currently live in Bloomingdale with my husband, Patrick. This is my second year teaching at Dorchester School. Before arriving at Dorchester, I taught for five years in a private school in Montclair. In Montclair, I taught grades K-2. I am very excited to have joined the Dorchester family! I am looking forward to new adventures and a great school year.
I attended Montclair State University, where I received my degree in Family and Child Studies. In addition, I completed a concentration in education and certification in Child Advocacy and Policy. After graduating from Montclair State, I went on to complete my Orton-Gillingham certification through the Fairleigh Dickinson Program's Masonic Centers. Once I completed my Orton-Gillingham certification, I decided to go back to school again to become certified in Special Education.
Outside of school, I enjoy being outside and going on hikes with my husband. I like to be outside as much as possible. Apple picking and pumpkin carving are fall favorites for me! I am also a football fan. Going to see the New York Giants during the football season is something I look forward to every year.
