Our parents and faculty are the core of this organization and they work tirelessly to make our schools a warm and wonderful place for learning. With already the first six months of the school year behind us I thought I’d share with you some of our accomplishments thus far, with much to follow in the coming months.

Arranged for the following Assembly Programs at Dorchester and Woodcliff:

“Welcome to New Jersey”, “Food Play”, Children’s author visit with Patricia Polacco, Character Building, “Amazing Grace” a civil rights presentation, and “Peacemaker” presented by the George Street Playhouse.

Organized and implemented the following enrichment classes:

Bowling, Bingo, Chess, Golf, Fun Fitness and Nutrition, 6th Grade Teen Canteen, Theatre Week, Birthday Books, Box Tops for Education, Personalization, Mad Science, and Cartooning.

Coordinated the following Service events:

Voluntary lunch service, Halloween Candy Drive, Toy and Book Giveaway, Library Volunteers, and the upcoming Food Drive.

Ways and Means Fundraising Events:

School Supplies, Wrapping Paper Sale, Lord and Taylor Shopping event, Cake and Pie Sale, Gift Cards, Holiday Boutique, Prep Sportswear, Family Dinner Night, Fall Book fairs, Parking Space Raffle, TD Bank Affinity Program.

Staff and Teacher Appreciation events:

Welcome back luncheon, Staples gift cards for all faculty, Holiday Breakfast, and welcome coffee for new families.

Gifts to the district:
$40,000 for the renovation of the lunchrooms in both Dorchester and Woodcliff School, and renovation of the bathrooms by the art room in Dorchester.
 

Thanks to all of our volunteers who have helped to make these events happen. And

please remember to mark your calendars for our biggest fundraising event of the

year, “A Night at the Races”. This event will take place on April 10th at the Pegasus

in East Rutherford, NJ. This is sure to be a great night for all, please continue to

support us. Invitations will be mailed shortly and information is posted on our

website and in the weekly Thursday folder. All profits will benefit our schools and

children! Lastly, our meetings take place the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30

am in the Board Office, please stop in and join us; we’d love to see you.
